The short version
This is a small community website. Read it, share it, get in touch. Don't copy our photos of faeries, don't try to break the site, and don't take a gathering listing as a promise that nothing will ever change. Registering for a gathering happens on YooHoo Social, which has its own terms.
1. Who these terms are between
Kindred Faeries (kindredfaeries.nl) is run by Vereniging Kindred Faeries, Amsterdam (KVK 42167992), a member-run association without profit aim. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the kind thing to do is simply not use it.
2. What the site is for
The site tells you who we are, what gatherings are coming up, how to get involved, and how to reach us. It's information, offered in good faith. We do our best to keep it accurate, but dates, venues, prices and plans can change; the listing on YooHoo Social and the messages we send registered faeries are what count.
3. Gatherings, registrations and payments
Registering for a gathering and paying your contribution happens on YooHoo Social, under its Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. What we ask of each other at a gathering itself is in our Good Gathering Guide and our Inclusionary Policy, which every registered faerie receives. Those documents, not this page, govern the gathering.
4. What we ask of you on this site
Use the site as a person would: read it, follow links, write to us. Please don't try to gain access to anything not meant for you, overload the site, scrape it, or submit forms with false details or on someone else's behalf. The contact form is for reaching us, not for advertising or for anything that would be unwelcome in a heart circle.
5. Photos, words and the logo
The text on this site is ours and you're welcome to quote it with a link back. The photos of gatherings show real faeries who agreed to appear here, and that agreement doesn't extend to anywhere else: please don't download, repost or reuse them. The Kindred Faeries name and mandala logo belong to the vereniging; if you'd like to use them, for a flyer or a shared event, just ask.
FaeTech, our two platforms, live on their own domains with their own terms, privacy policies and codes of conduct: YooHoo Social for gatherings and events, Fae Social for the federated social network. Both are hosted by Junovy. Using them means agreeing to their documents, not these. Their source code is built in the open and carries its own licence.
6. Links to other places
We link to YooHoo Social, to venues, and to other faerie organisations. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them or how they handle your data.
7. What we can't promise
The site is provided as it is, by volunteers. We can't guarantee it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we're not liable for loss that comes from relying on it, to the extent Dutch law allows us to say that. Nothing here limits liability for anything we can't legally exclude, such as intent or gross negligence.
8. Your data
How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy, with everything else gathered in the Privacy Center. Those documents are part of these terms.
9. Changes
If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you're fine with the new version; if you're not, tell us, we'd like to know why.
10. Which law applies
Dutch law. If we ever end up in a dispute about this website, the courts of Amsterdam are competent, though we'd much rather talk first.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms: use our contact form.
